ABI removes gay prejudice on HIV questions

UK insurers are no longer allowed to ask specific questions about a person's sexuality and potential risks to health as a result, according to new rules laid down by the ABI.

A code of practice on HIV and insurance was issued yesterday by the Association of British Insurers which now says all insurers are not allowed to ask specific questions which could suggest an individual is being singled out for additional health and insurance checks because of their sexuality.
