Annuity quotations move online

QUOTATIONS for lifestyle annuity rates are being provided for the first time via an online portal through a new development by The Exchange.

The firm has expanded its existing annuity comparison system by introducing a real time service which provides personalised quotations online. Just Retirement and Legal & General were the first providers to support the service. Advisers using the portal can gain access to theirs and 14 other providers’ standard annuity quotes. Features of the new service include real time and indicative rates plus standard, smoker and enhanced annuities.
