Legg Mason EM fund gets 'AA' S&P rating

Legg Mason's recently-launched Batterymarch Emerging Markets Equity fund has been awarded at AA rating from Standard & Poor's (S&P).

The fund is one of only 15 funds to have an AA rating or above in the Morningstar Equity Global Emerging Markets Sector, which consists 164 funds. Benchmarked to the MSCI Emerging Markets index, the fund aims to provide long-term capital appreciation using a bottom-up, model-driven process, which combines quantitative research with the fundamental work of several portfolio managers.
