Pulse Insurance has entered the Income protection (IP) market. As with the firm's life and medical products it will be aimed at the impaired life and difficult to place market.
Pulse is an insurance intermediary which specialising in developing and maintaining relationships with insurers prepared to cover non-standard risks. These include syndicates at Lloyd's and other organisations in the London insurance market. Paul Sandilands, managing director at Pulse, predicted a growing market for the product. He said; "IP sales in this niche are set to grow. It is currently difficult to get IP if you have diabetes for instance, and yet the incidence of diabetes in society is growing."
