Investors are less positive on the outlook for returns in 2010, with the numbers planning to invest falling by almost 50%, according to the IMA.
Its Investor Confidence Index shows investors are less bullish about the outlook for investment returns than they were six months ago. The index stands at 99, seven points less than in May 2009. The numbers planning to invest this year has nearly halved from six months ago, from just under one in three to one in six. The biggest change has been amongst the wealthiest investors down to 27% from 44%.
