McFall scoops Which? award for grilling bankers

John McFall MP and chairman of the Treasury Select Committee, has received a Which? Consumer Champion award for his role in grilling bankers during the financial crisis.

Since November 2008, McFall has played a prominent role as a member of the Treasury Select Committee in bringing bankers and regulators to account over the financial crisis and trying to establish how to prevent it from happening again. In December 2009, McFall along with fellow politicians, Rt Hon David Davis and Dr Vince Cable, joined forces with Which? to form the Future of Banking Commission.
