Montagnon quits ABI for FRC

Association of British Insurers director of investment affairs Peter Montagnon has quit after almost 10 years at the trade association.

Montagnon will join the Financial Reporting Council as senior investment adviser on June 1. He follows former ABI chief executive Stephen Haddrill, who left the insurance body to take on the role of chief executive at the FRC in November, last year. Haddrill and Montagnon worked together at the ABI for more than four years. Montagnon says: "After nearly a decade in this role, now is the right time to take up a new challenge.
