Alan Lakey is lobbying his MP in an effort to take Lord Myners "to task" for misleading parliament about reasons for the lack of a long-stop for advisers.
The founder of Adviser Alliance (pictured) says the former City minister misled the Joint Parliamentary Committee of Human Rights when giving reasons for the lack of a long-stop last June. "I can categorically prove Lord Myners lied to the committee on three counts and I am trying to bring him to task," he said. In his submission, Myners said there was not a "sufficiently strong case" for a long-stop for financial advisers after the FSA looked into the matter.
