Two former directors of collapsed foreign exchange firm Crown Currency Exchange have been arrested and released on bail.
Believed to be Peter Benstead and Edward James, a Conservative councillor and former mayor of Glastonbury, they have been released on police bail until July 2011, the BBC reports. Cornwall-based Crown Currency, which allowed individuals and business customers to pre-order foreign exchange at a set price up to a year in advance, collapsed in October, owing customers more than £16m. Set up six years ago, it provided money in 80 different currencies, as well as travellers' cheques and money transfers.
