HSBC has unveiled an ETF providing exposure to the MSCI World index, with a total expense ratio (TER) of 0.35%.
The latest fund, listed on the London Stock Exchange in sterling and US dollars, is also due to be registered and cross-listed in Europe over the coming months. HSBC says the TER of the fund is one-fifth of the average TER of actively managed international equity funds in Europe, which stands at around 1.76%. The 0.35% TER is also less than half the average figure of passively managed international equity funds in Europe, at 0.76%. The ETF uses optimised physical replication to provide the total return performance of the MSCI World index, which measures the developed equity markets. ...
