At last: A bank adviser with a sense of justice

A self-styled vigilante superhero calling himself ‘The Statesman' has revealed his true identity as Scott Cooke, a Santander adviser from Birmingham.

Cooke says he has been roaming the city streets four nights a week, dressed in a Union flag t-shirt and a Lone Ranger-style black eyemask, whilst his partner believed he was out playing poker. Armed with only a mobile phone, first aid kit, notepad and torch, Cooke, 26, says he has helped police capture a drug dealer and stop a break-in.
