The Treasury has confirmed Lord Hutton will publish his final report on public sector pension reform on Thursday 10 March.
The report will lay out Hutton's recommendations to government on "sustainable and affordable" pension arrangements, the Treasury says. It adds the report will chime with the fiscal challenges ahead, while also protecting accrued rights. The report is due ahead of the budget on 23 March. The Treasury has already confirmed it will not include Hutton's proposals for increased employee contribution levels in the budget due to trade union anger but has not ruled out including other proposals.
