SimplyBiz: More firms exiting networks

Support services provider SimplyBiz is unveiling extra compliance support to aid the increasing numbers of firms and advisers it expects to leave networks in the run up to RDR.

It says recent warnings from the FSA and the changing remuneration models for networks will see more advisers choose to become directly authorised. Matt Timmins, joint managing director of SimplyBiz, says: "It's an area we're getting more and more advisers from and something we're clearly anticipating will increase as well. "Many advisers are beginning to understand they will have to pay their network a flat fee and it's becoming more and more obvious to them just how expensive that is.
