Alternative investments comparison tool launched

Consultancy firm Clara Capital has launched a comparison site for alternative investments, Clara Compare, as a tool to help advisers meet the FSA's widened requirements for independence post-RDR.

Alternatives are products other than traditional investments such as shares, bonds and cash, and the site includes domestic and foreign property, a hedge fund and income funds. Advisers can used Clara Compare to gauge the suitability of the product for clients, and compare costs and returns. Clara Capital said all of the funds it lists have FSA authorised and regulated operators and professional asset management teams.
