Barclays Wealth launches Trend funds on five platforms

Barclays Wealth Investments has launched two UK equity OEIC funds on five platforms as the group looks to make further inroads into the retail space.

The IFSL Barclays FTSE 100 Trend fund and IFSL Barclays FTSE Protector 80 Trend fund are available on Cofunds, Ascentric, Transact, Nucleus and Axa Elevate and are designed to deliver positive returns in both falling and rising markets. Both funds are linked to the Barclays FTSE 100 Total Return Index and will adopt a rules-based approach. This consists of identifying if the market is in positive or negative trend before examining market volatility and defining the level of exposure to the underlying index.
