A Trades Union Congress (TUC) document leaked to the BBC has revealed unions do not believe today's negotiations with ministers will avoid industrial action.
The TUC statement of principles said the unions believe general talks with ministers about the future of public sector pensions cannot avert the strike action due to take place on 30 June. This is because individual pension schemes and workforces face unique circumstances and cannot be reformed with a one-size-fits-all solution, the TUC said in the document.
