HSBC Global Asset Management (GAM) is to launch three low-cost portfolios, offering access to global equity and bond markets as well as alternative investments.
The HSBC World Index range, launching on 17 October, will include Cautious, Balanced and Dynamic offerings. The retail share class offering has a clean AMC of 0.5%, no initial charge and a minimum investment of £1,000, making it suitable for the post-RDR universe. The portfolios will hold HSBC's own ETFs and index-trackers as well as those offered by external groups, and will also have the ability to invest in individual securities such as gilts.
