Rathbones finance director joins FSCS board

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has appointed the group finance director of Rathbones to a non-executive role on board of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

Paul Stockton, who joined the board yesterday, began his career as an accountant at PwC. He also worked for Old Mutual, before joining Rathbones in 2008. FSA chairman Lord Turner [pictured] said Stockton will bring "valuable experience which will greatly benefit the FSCS." David Hall, FSCS Chairman, said: "His wealth of experience in finance, financial services and consumer issues will be invaluable at a crucial time in the Scheme's development. He is an excellent addition to a strong team."
