New Star founder John Duffield has hit back at claims made during Patrick Evershed's sensational employment tribunal in an open letter.
Refuting many of the claims made by Evershed (pictured) during the trial - which concluded with a confidential settlement agreed between New Star and its former fund manager - Duffield had the following to say: "As readers of the financial press may be aware, Patrick Evershed, a former fund manager at New Star Asset Management, the firm I founded, has in recent weeks taken an unfair dismissal case against New Star to an employment tribunal.
