Standard Life has no "firm plans" to launch its own restricted advice package for IFAs but says the model does have a place in the market.
The provider said independent advice would remain its main focus but added it was investigating a variety of ways advisers could configure its products to "create value for their businesses and clients". Responding to reports it was set to launch its own proposition, a spokesman said: "Independent advice will continue to be the primary focus of our propositions, but we believe that restricted advice will have a place in the market for certain advisers.
