IFS develops 'SPS' for non-regulated advisers

The Institute of Financial Services has launched a Certificate of Professional Achievement (CPA) aimed at people in supervisory, training, planning or support functions who want to demonstrate their professionalism and commitment to financial services.

The CPA will be evidence of a qualification level (QCF level 4), ethical stance and commitment to ongoing CPD. The CPA will be available to people who are qualified to Level 4 but do not provide advice. It is intended to be the equivalent of a Statement of Professional Standing (SPS), a qualification attainable by advisers. The Institute's CPA costs the same as an SPS, £40 for members and £75 for non-members. The Institute of Financial Services is part of the IFS School of Finance.
