Founder of The Money Portal Tony Morris and his associate Peter Malmstrom have been cleared of taking part in the £52m GP Noble pension scheme fraud.
Morris and Malmstrom were accused of defrauding a number of pension funds as part of extraction of £52m from schemes under the control of GP Noble. Prosecution counsel David Farrer QC said Morris and co-defendant Malmstrom were key players in the two stage disinvestment from a series of underfunded pension schemes. However, a majority jury verdict at Southwark Crown Court has today found them not guilty after a lengthy trial.
