The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) and the Bank of England (BoE) plan to deal with complaints in the 'twin peaks model' in largely the same way as under the current Financial Services Authority's (FSA) process.
In a change under the Financial Services Bill, a single complaints scheme will operate across the three regulators - with the FCA processing complaints submitted centrally through the complaints helpline number or email - but individual investigation of complaints will fall to the relevant regulators. But in a consultation paper out today, the regulators signalled little change to dealing with complaints, in a move it says is part of its aim to keep costs to a minimum.
