Mercer's Paul O'Connor is to join Henderson as a director on its multi-asset team. He will be involved in the management of an institutional strategy called Diversified Growth when he assumes his role at the firm on 28 January.
He was previously partner and head of asset allocation for Mercer’s Investment Management business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. There, he was responsible for Mercer’s Dynamic Asset Allocation process and lead manager of the group’s Diversified Growth fund. O’Connor previously spent ten years as a proprietary trader and strategist for Credit Suisse. Henderson’s £5.7bn multi-manager range is overseen by Bill McQuaker with support from Paul Craig, Helen Bradshaw and Chris Forgan. “I worked with Paul at Credit Suisse so I have a pretty good idea what he brings to the party...
