Pensions minister Steve Webb has confirmed that an update for the defined ambition (DA) project will be published in the summer.
He also admitted that legislation may be required to enact the introduction of DA depending on what system is finally adopted. Speaking at the Scottish Widows Pensions Report Question Time event, Webb said: "Following our pre-Christmas exploratory document there will be an update on that in the summer. But clearly with auto-enrolment happening as we speak and the abolition of contracting out in 2016, clearly we need to be out there getting things ready."
