A private charity lunch with Warren Buffet has sold for $1m - less than a third of last year's price.
The unnamed bidder will have lunch with seven friends and the billionaire investor at a steakhouse in New York. This final eBay price looks good value compared to previous years. Last year the same lot sold for $3.5m, in aid of Glide, a San Francisco charity. The annual traditional lunch has so far raised more than $15m for the organisation. In 2011, fund manager Ted Weschler paid $2.6m to dine with the Sage of Omaha. He was later hired as an investment manager at Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway.
