Zurich UK doubles share of life protection market to 13%

Zurich UK has doubled its life retail protection market share year on year to 13%.

This growth has been through the company's UK financial adviser channel and is against a backdrop which saw the overall protection market shrink by 20%, according to the Association for British Insurers. Zurich Life head of retail David White said: "The reduction in the size of the protection market further demonstrates that many people are still not protecting themselves for the future. "We therefore recognise that we have an enormous responsibility to support advisers in educating their customers on the importance of protection."
