Millions of workers approaching retirement age have little or no idea how their pension is performing or how much money they will have to live on in older age, new figures reveal.
Over three-quarters have no idea what their pension fund is investing in, according to a survey by Axa Life, the Daily Mail reports. Millions of people in their 50s and 60s appear to be burying their heads in the sand: 43 per cent believe they will spend most of their income on holidays and leisure activities after they reach 75. Only one in ten think care costs will make up the greatest proportion of their spending in the golden years.
