The Pensions Regulator (TPR) is investigating 27 cases relating to pension liberation, a Freedom of Information request has revealed.
Details obtained by IFAonline sister title Professional Pensions also showed that, of the 27 cases currently open, two have progressed to the High Court. Last year, TPR confirmed it was looking into 21 incidents of suspected liberation activity. It comes as the industry awaits Pensions Ombudsman rulings on 41 member complaints relating to liberation.
