Holly Mackay, the founder and MD of platform advice, research and events business The Platforum, is to take a sabbatical later this year, Investment Week can reveal.
Mackay (pictured), who founded The Platforum in 2007, will take a sabbatical when her lock-in arrangement ends this June, having sold the business to publisher Centaur for an initial fee of £1.8m in 2011. Centaur is due to pay Mackay a further lump sum based on The Platforum's 2014 profits; the total acquisition price for the deal is capped at £6.3m. She said: "I am taking a short sabbatical over the summer to spend time with my children, and I am in talks with Centaur about the growth opportunities for The Platforum. We are discussing how we take the business forward from here." R...
