Fidelity Worldwide Investment has moved to put pressure on rivals in the passive space with the launch of four low-cost index funds.
The new range, offering exposure to Europe ex-UK, Japan, Pacific ex-Japan and emerging markets, have ongoing charges between 0.15% (for the Japan fund) and 0.27% (the emerging markets fund). The prices put them below competitors across the regions. For example, BlackRock's Emerging Markets Equity Tracker fund has an ongoing charge of 0.27%, while Vanguard's has an AMC of 0.4%.
