Govt wants adviser input in Money Advice Service evidence call

The Treasury wants to hear from financial advisers as it published a call for evidence as part of its review into the role played by the Money Advice Service (MAS).

Former National Association of Pension Funds CEO Christine Farnish, who is heading up the review, said she is "particularly interested" to hear from others operating in the guidance, advice and financial education markets. The government launched an independent review of the industry-funded MAS on 30 May. It is seeking to determine the role MAS should play in the wider consumer education and advice landscape, and whether it is doing that sufficiently under its existing remit.
