Seven advice firms declared in default by FSCS

Seven advice firms have been declared in default by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

Its latest list of defaults included Yorkshire-based Lampott (Financial Services); Harpenden-based firm Bluegrove Wealth Management and investment outfit Graham R Gomm, located in the West Midlands. A total of 14 firms were on the list, with half coming from the advice industry. The FSCS said it had started paying compensation in respect of the defaulted firms. Head of communications Mark Oakes said: "Our message to anyone who believes that they may be owed money as a result of their dealings with any of these firms is please get in touch, as we may be able to help you."
