Adviser fraudster victim in HSBC compensation fight

A victim of convicted fraudster financial adviser Chris Bladen is fighting banking giant HSBC for compensation, alleging the bank failed to recognise he 'forged' signatures on his account.

The client, who remains unidentified, wants HSBC to reimburse £65,000 which he said was paid into a set of pensions set up by Bladen without his knowledge. He is alleging the adviser, who worked for wealth manager St James's Place (SJP) between 2009 and 2012 but not, it is understood, at the time the alleged offences took place, forged his signature to authorise the transfers. However, HSBC is refusing to acknowledge the fraud, according to the Mirror.
