European assets 'still moderately well supported'

Investors must expect short-term volatility but take a 'global view' during the Brexit fall-out, according to Stephanie Flanders, chief market strategist for Europe at JP Morgan Asset Management.

Arguing her case in the firm's latest quarterly Guide to the Markets report released this morning, Flanders said that while UK corporate investment, the value of the currency and Europe's economic growth are all likely to be affected by uncertainty, European assets are still moderately well supported. The Guide to Markets report went on to warn that heightened economic and political uncertainty is likely to stall hiring decisions and reduce UK investment.
