AdviserAsset has launched a risk-profiling and asset allocation tool that sets out to address regulatory concerns by offering 'a more transparent and straightforward methodology' for advisers.
AdviserAsset director Colin Turton (pictured) said the tool was created in answer to concerns highlighted in reports from both the the Financial Conduct Authority(FCA) and its predecessor, the Financial Services Authority (FSA). Both recognised the value advisers bring in evaluating separate pieces of information in order to arrive at a suitable recommendation, said Turton, adding: "They were concerned, however, that tools were not giving advisers enough flexibility to add value in this way."
