Brown Shipley chief executive Ian Sackfield is stepping down after eight years in the role, but will remain a client director for the business.

Sackfield (pictured) has worked at Brown Shipley since 1987 and became chief executive in January 2009. He will remain in the role until a successor has been appointed to ensure an orderly handover and will take up a new role as a client director, focusing on advising clients. During his time as chief executive, Brown Shipley assets under management have grown from £1.9bn to £5.5bn and the firm has completed several strategic acquistions.
