Regulation and the growth of certain demographic segments will see the adoption of risk-targeted funds "accelerate significantly", according to Dynamic Planner.

In a new white paper, Fund Risk Targeting: From Evolution to Key Solution for Investment Suitability, the firm highlighted the increase in the number of advisory firms adopting risk-profiling and asset-allocation tools to support their centralised investment processes.  Regulatory drivers Dynamic Planner said the greater focus on investor protection and ongoing suitability in the second Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II) would continue to drive the growth of risk-targeted investments.
