FCA names financial advice co-directors to replace Linda Woodall

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has appointed Debbie Gupta and Deb Jones as co-directors of Life Insurance and Financial Advice Supervision to replace Linda Woodall.

The FCA revealed Woodall, who left the watchdog before the Christmas break, had stepped down from the role to retire in January. She had overseen supervision at the regulator from 2015 when she took over from Nick Poyntz-Wright. Of her two successors, Gupta was an executive director at the National Employment Savings Trust Corporation and has also held director roles at the Department for Work and Pensions as pension reform legislation deputy director and benefit performance director.
