Businesses unprepared for rising workplace pension contributions - NOW: Pensions

Small firms have greater awareness

More than a quarter (28%) of senior business decision-makers are unaware of increases to minimum workplace pension contributions that kick in on 6 April, according to a survey by NOW: Pensions.

The survey, which canvassed 691 senior individuals, also found nearly half (42%) of respondents were unaware of the further increase to pension contributions in April 2019. Awareness among small businesses was better, NOW: Pensions found, with four out of five (81%) aware of the upcoming changes next month, compared with just a third (66%) of large businesses.
