One-in-five against with dashboard concept

Three-quarters of advisers are in support of the government's plans for the pension dashboard, which is scheduled to go live in 2019.

Of the 50 advisers surveyed by Aegon, half said they agreed with the government's plans while one-quarter 'strongly agreed'. Almost half (45%), however, did not think the project would help to close the advice gap. The dashboard will allow consumers to have all their pension data in one place, making it easier for them to manage their savings. It is due to be launched to the public by 2019 - a deadline set by ex-Chancellor George Osborne.
