SJP replaces BlackRock on alternatives fund amid raft of changes

St James's Place has replaced BlackRock's market advantage team as manager of its £363m Alternative Assets fund, as part of the wealth management group's latest shake-up.

From 30 July, Wellington Management's Steve Gorman will take up management of the Alternative Assets fund where he "will look to combine both systematic and fundamental investment strategies across a range of asset classes", according to SJP's CIO Chris Ralph. Ralph explained: "As one of the largest investment houses in the world, we believe the multi-asset team at Wellington Management has the resource and expertise to provide attractive returns for investors over the medium to long-term."
