Consultant and former FCA technical specialist Rory Percival has launched another of his guides for financial adviser firms, this time focusing on the issue of defined benefit (DB) transfers.
An Ex-Regulator's Guide to Defined Benefit Transfers Suitability and Controls, which Percival said contained the latest thinking on this high-profile issue, is divided into three parts. The first - on Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) rules and guidance - covers matters such as guidance on assessing suitability as well as what has been happening in the space and what it means for firms' advice processes.
