Punter Southall Aspire has hired former Scottish Widows strategic relationship manager Peter Selby to head the firm's financial planning business.

Selby (pictured), who spent 25 years at Scottish Widows, will join the firm as managing director of retail advice. He will lead and develop the financial planning business and shape its retail service proposition, the firm said. Punter Southall Aspire, which offers financial advice and investment administration for individuals and employers, said it has plans to acquire more IFA firms after it acquired Oxford-based IFA Focus Oxford in June.
