Index provider FTSE Russell has revealed it will start to include China A-shares in major benchmarks from June 2019.
The stocks will be selected from the FTSE China A Stock Connect All Cap index and included across the FTSE Global Equity Index Series (FTSE GEIS). Furthermore, China A-shares has been promoted to emerging market status reflecting the ongoing progress by the nation towards market reforms and increased access for investors.
