Quilter Private Client Advisers adds £130m AUA with double acquisition

Quilter Private Client Advisers has confirmed two acquisitions that will add around £130m of assets under advice (AUA) to the national firm. The purchase prices were not disclosed.

One acquisition was Freedom Financial Planning, whose clients will now be serviced from the Quilter advice firm's Chester office. Freedom's managing director Andy Nevett will retire after the acquisition, while financial planning director Nick Heys will join Quilter as a financial planner. The second acquisition - of Stephen Spires Financial Consultants - will see sole adviser Stephen Spires retire once his clients are transferred over to Quilter.
