Wealth manager round-up: SJP assets rise to record £103.5bn in Q1

Inflows of £2.2bn during the quarter

In a quarter than has seen a rebound in equity markets, many wealth managers are reporting stronger business than during the difficult Q4 2018, but they are remaining mindful of the challenges ahead. Here is a round-up of the latest results.

St. James's Place Wealth Management  St. James's Place (SJP) reported net inflows of £2.2bn for the first three months of the year, slightly lower than for the same period last year (£2.6bn). The largest contributor to inflows was the pensions segment, which saw gross inflows of £2bn, while investment only attracted £500m. Unit trusts, ISAs and discretionary funds management took in £1.1bn, which includes gross inflows of £150m and outflows of £40m related to the Rowan Dartington Group funds under management.
