SIFA Professional offers solicitors a financial adviser referral leaflet

SIFA Professional has stressed the importance for solicitors to implement a firm-wide policy and system to refer clients to financial planners.

SIFA Professional, which encourages interaction between legal professionals and financial advisers, said it was important solicitors organised an approach to referalls before the 25 November SRA Standards and Regulations deadline. The leaflet, for solicitors, outlined the benefits of working with financial advice partners and highlighted the incoming compliance rules governing referrals. The organisation has provided a pre-approach letter template, which it encouraged solicitors to use as soon as possible with potential or existing connections.
