Over a third of UK employees said they have, or would take out, pet insurance, a study has found.
It may not be the first time we've heard this barking mad statistic, but research from Cirencester Friendly has hit home the extent to which people are more willing to insure their pet than themselves. A survey of more than 2000 UK employees found that a third (33%) of people - rising to 38% of women - said they have, or would take out, pet insurance to cover them in case they need medical help, while a further 30% said they would take out mobile phone insurance.
