Wealth management firm Quilter is understood to be a possible target of US private equity firm Warburg Pincus, according to reports.
Warburg Pincus is among the largest private equity buyer of financial services investments, having bought stakes in Chinese firm Ant Financial and Swiss banking-software developer Avaloq Group AG. People familiar with the matter told Bloomberg that the private equity firm is not in formal talks with Quilter but has held internal discussions about a possible bid for the wealth manager.
